The Story: A Tale of Two Historic Icons

Rachel & Caleb | Charleston, SC

For Rachel and Caleb, their wedding was a journey through the storied landscapes of the Lowcountry. The day began amidst the ancient oaks and draping Spanish moss of Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, before transitioning to the gilded elegance of the Francis Marion Hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston. This dual-venue celebration was an exercise in refined Southern charm and the kind of logistical orchestration that Love, Evermore Events is known for.

From Enchanted Gardens to Gilded Ballrooms

We designed the day to evolve from the organic, sun-dappled beauty of the plantation to the sophisticated, urban grandeur of one of Charleston’s most historic hotels.

  • The Ceremony: Under a sprawling, moss-covered oak at Magnolia Plantation, Rachel and Caleb shared their vows in a setting that felt like a timeless garden sanctuary. The air was filled with bubbles and the soft scent of lavender, creating an atmosphere of pure, historic romance.

  • Editorial Details: Every detail, from the rhinestone-encrusted bridal shoes resting on historic brick to the lavender-draped bridesmaids, was curated to bridge the gap between natural garden beauty and formal hotel sophistication.

  • The Reception: The celebration culminated in the grand ballroom of the Francis Marion Hotel. With its high vaulted ceilings and classical architecture, the space was transformed into a candlelit haven for an evening of toasts and dancing.

Mastering the Multi-Venue Lifecycle

Executing a seamless transition between two iconic Charleston landmarks requires rigorous Operational Oversight. Utilizing our 5-phase project management framework, our team managed the complex timeline of guest transportation, vendor load-ins, and the intricate "Monitoring" of the ceremony-to-reception shift.

By applying Nicole’s 18-year banking background, we provided a strategic financial framework that optimized the couple's investment across both venues—ensuring a cohesive luxury experience from the first garden vow to the final ballroom dance.

Planning Your Historic Charleston Journey

A multi-venue wedding allows your guests to experience the full spectrum of Charleston’s beauty.

  • Ceremony Versatility: Magnolia Plantation offers multiple enchanted spaces, including the Carriage House and the iconic white bridge, perfect for romantic garden portraits.

  • The Grand Reception: The Francis Marion Hotel provides the logistical capacity for large-scale celebrations, with elegant ballrooms that can host up to 200+ guests in a historic urban setting.

  • Investment Considerations: For a dual-venue Charleston wedding of this caliber, we recommend a starting budget of $45,000–$75,000, accounting for venue rentals, specialized transportation, and high-end floral design.
